The all-new OpenSites Web Development Platform WDP is a Web Application Framework. This means OpenSites is a software framework that is designed to support the development of dynamic websites, Web applications and Web services. OpenSites WDP is designed to allow you to develop quality websites in a short period of time without the need for special software packages or programming knowledge.
Do I need to know HTML or any other programming language to use OpenSites?
No, you do not need to know any HTML or other programming language to use OpenSites. OpenSites is very user friendly with a variety of templates to choose from and a Site Content Editor that makes generating websites quick and easy without compromising quality and appearance.
Yes, OpenSites has a wide variety of modules like site search, newsletter sign-up, survey, blog, quick poll, banner, dynamic calendar and many more features that can be added to your websites and web projects.
Voloper provides the techno savvy user the freedom to generate their web projects using their own HTML.
Can I upload PDFs, MP3s, images, spreadsheets and word documents to my website?
Yes, OpenSites allows you to download a wide variety of documents, files, and images to your websites.
After an OpenSites website is placed online it becomes a regular website. From this point on, you are allowed content changes of the web pages, including tools and appearance (limited), through the Admin Panel. If you were to add a new component that was not originally there; e.g., a guest book, you would then rely on us to do it for you-likely at an additional cost.
We have concentrated our major efforts on Web Accessibility, to allow those with disabilities to effectively receive information from websites. All our products and modules have been converted to be fully compliant with priority Level 1 and 2 of W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines. The OpenSites WDP has been developed in compliance to these guidelines.
